My mum talks a lot about how terrible it is that some Christians are persecuted for their beliefs. I wish she realised that it’s just as hard the other way around.
I haven’t even told her that I’m not a Christin anymore. It would make her so upset and worried about ‘my soul’, and I know she’d try to convert me back.
Why can’t we just accept each other’s beliefs?
I know how this feels. I told my mum i dont believe that ‘god’ is real because im more of a logical thinker and i dont see how someone that powerful can possibly exist. I mean, if vampires arent real, how can god be? My parents are greek orthodox/christian and my mum told me not to say stupid things like that, it sucks that she doesnt respect what i believe and that she thinks she can choose what i have to believe in.
